Hardwood Floor Care
Caring for your wood floor can be beneficial to the life
of your floor. Hardwood floors are among the easiest to clean.
Dirt Grim Sand: These three things can cause the most harm
to your floors. They act like sandpaper causing scratches
and dents and the shinny finish to become dull.
Liquids: Liquids can harm your wood floor by warping the
boards.
Furniture: Furniture is one way that most floor get scratched.
Most people will be to lazy or not have anyone else to help
them lift and move the furniture. Always put felt pads under
each leg.
Sunlight: Uv Rays from the sun can cause your hardwood floor
to discolor. Close the blinds or curtains when the sun is
directly shining on the floor.
Maintenance of your hardwood floor should be done every couple
of days. I suggest using a swiffer to keep dirt and grim to
a minimum. Or use a vacuum with a special attachment for bare
floors. Try to reduce the amount of dirt that can be transferred
to the wood floor by placing mats at the entrance and take
your shoes off. Using a damp mop with a neutral PH wood cleaner
and water will help get a deep cleaning.
