Pizza Recipe
Ingredients for the Pizza Crust / Dough:
1/2 cup warm water
1 1/2 teaspoons dry active yeast
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
1 cup flour - I use whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Put warm water into a glass bowl, stir in oil and sugar, Sprinkle
yeast on. Wait 10 minutes - then mix. Mix in salt then flour
1/2 cup at a time. Stir with wooden spoon or spatula - then
knead for 5 minutes. Put back in bowl and wait 20 minutes.
Punch down and knead for 1 minute adding alittle flour as
needed.
Start rolling with a pin into a round shape, flipping often
and adding a little flour to both sides to prevent in from
sticking. Turn onto a pizza stone or grate. Spread sauce on
dough then light with mozzerella cheese. Add your favourite
toppings and add more cheese to hold the toppings together.
Cook at 375 degrees until the crust is golden brown and the
cheese is melted.
Makes a 12-14" thin crust or 8-10" thick crust,
all depending on how thin you roll it.
