Play Doh Recipe

Play Doh is always a fun way to entertain your kids. They can make so many things with it. There are a few ways how to make play doh recipe form scratch.

Combine all ingredients (except the flour) in a sauce pan and heat until warm. Remove from the heat and add the flour. Stir then knead until smooth.

Important Note: Make sure you use the cream of tartar as it makes the dough long lasting (up to 6 months or longer) Play doh should be stored in a plastic bag or airtight container.

Play Doh Recipe with Kool-Aid:

2 1/2 cups of flour
1/2 cup salt
2 packages dry unsweetened Kool-Aid
2 cups boiling water
3 tablespoons cream of tartar

Mix all the dry ingredients in the play doh recipe together and all the liquid ingredients together. Then pour the liquids over the the dry. Stir the mixture until it forms a ball. As it cools it will become less sticky. After it has cooled knead it until it is smooth.
